We are seeking an enthusiastic, efficient and reliable individual to join the Squidsoup team full time (37.5 hours per week) as Studio Manager for a minimum 9 month Maternity Cover Contract, with the possibility to extend.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic, efficient and reliable individual to join the team as Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio.

This role requires working mainly from the Squidsoup studio, with some remote working and possible onsite project work.

You will be the first point of contact for our small business and may on occasion, work alone.

Working alongside the Creative Directors, Producer and Production Manager you will be deeply involved in running and coordinating all aspects of the studio’s operations,
administration, and finance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential
• A flexible and proactive approach to working with the ability to manage multiple
priorities and deadlines
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with good attention to detail
• Accuracy and clarity in written and verbal communication
• Good computer literacy and confidence using new software packages
• Good working knowledge of Xero, or similar accounting software
• An interest in our work and a desire to engage with the rest of the team to achieve
the organisation’s mission
• Experience of HR, creating contracts and maintaining policies and processes

Desirable
• Experience of working in the arts sector
• An understanding of the needs of working in a small team
• Accountancy experience
• Knowledge of carnets, customs and duty

Knowledge and experience in operations and administration, management and HR and finance are essential to this position.
